At a press conference 5.18.09 Obama stated "Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon would not only be a threat to Israel and a threat to the United States, but would be profoundly destabilizing in the international community as a whole and could set off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East."

Iran has no nuclear weapons,nor according to the International Atomic Commission inspectors they are not pursuing nuclear weapon development;

But guess who in the Middle East has nuclear weapons and enough of them to "wipe the Middleeastern capitals off of the map"? You got it, our alter ego: Israel, the elephant in the room.

But be carefull about mentioning any thing about the elephant or anything else that even might be seen as critical of that state or you will be accused of being anti-semetic.

What is a threat to Israel and to the United states is the continued litany and drum beating about Iran, their threat and Israel 's threat to bomb Iran. Bombing or otherwise attacking Iran might produce unintended and dire consequences.
