Oil continues to flow into the gulf of Mexico, threatening Louisiana and Florida coastlines. Congress is investigating, Obama is speaking, the Air Force is spreading chemicals, but the oil is still flowing.
Cameron, the manufacturer of the blowout preventer said a loose connection caused the failure. The rig owner Transocean identified 260 ways the preventer might fail. and on and on about who is to blame and who is to pay for this, but the oil continues to flow into the sea.
Yesterday the word was that North Korea had torpedoed the rig and well, further the WhiteHouse had ordered a blackout of the news, but the oil continues to gush forth
into the sea.
The slick is constantly changing shape, but is now greater than 50 miles across, plus the lighter petroleum components stretch further.
