NOT A DROP TO DRINK

While we all have heard of Peak Oil and all the dire consequences,

few have thought much about water shortage, yet it might be a good idea to be concerned about this precious commodity, for life without water is not just difficult, it is impossible.

The World Bank says that 80 countries have water shortages, and more than 2 billion people have no access to clean water and sanitation.

Americans are not aware of this emergency in the making. Water for most is a given and less expensive than cable TV, yet shortage of water could be the event that will cause the 2lst century to be a disaster for man and life in general, for while sources of water in the continental USA are for the most part abundant, water systems for cities and towns are old and in need of repair and upgrades. Droughts are plaguing India, China and Australia

now and food shortages will likely be felt this summer.

If world wide droughts get worse, populations will have to be relocated from now over crowded cities and areas for them to survive. Are we storing enough water to get us through a water emergency?

With Love and Kindness,

THE HATMAN
