WISDOM FOR 2010

To begin our new year, we first thank God for the privilege of living in 2010.

Here are some wise words from those who have gone before us:

Cast not away your confidence, for it has a great reward--The Apostle Paul

No warning can save a people determined to grow suddenly rich--Samuel Jones Loyd

First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win.
Keep up the good fight--Unknown

. . .It's like at the funeral home where they put on really good makeup on the corpse
and people walk in and say,"Oh he looks so good" Then you think to yourself,"Wait a minute. If he looks so good , why is he dead?" That's where we are, I think, with our economy. --Byron King

The interest on our present debt is now $800 million per day. Bernanke has never been right in any of his pronouncements. That is quite a record. The lying to the public is structural, endemic and indigenous--Uncommon common sense 9/19/09

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."*

Adrian Rogers, 1931

As I was not smarter than most people, I was willing to work harder than most. I was prepared to examine conventional wisdom. If everyone thinks one way, it is likely to be wrong. If you can -figure out that it is wrong, you are likely to make a lot of money .Invest only in things you know something about. The mistake most people make is that they listen to hot tips, or act on something they read in magazines. Most people know a lot about something, so they should just stick to what they know and buy an investment in that area. That is how you get rich. You don’t get rich investing in things you know nothing about.--Jim Rogers 11/23/09

The Central Bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but coin. If the American people allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property, until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.”

Thomas Jefferson.

HAPPY NEW YEAR,

With Love and Kindness,

THE HATMAN
